Following the huge success of its 100% Partner Programme (1300 resellers signed up in the UK alone since September 2002), Lexmark International, the printer manufacturer, today announces a series of enhancements to help resellers further drive sales and increase margins from their small and medium sized business (SMB) customers.
The 100% Partner Programme, which was originally launched in the UK, Germany, Italy and France, has seen Lexmark take a 10% slice of the SMB printer market in just over six months. Thanks to this success Lexmark is now extending the scheme to all markets worldwide.
100% Partner Programme enhancements
The key new enhancement to the 100% Partner Programme is the Lexmark Printer Configurator, available via the reseller website, which will help resellers more effectively define the printing needs of their customers and, more importantly, add value to each sale. The Printer Configurator is a step-by-step interactive tool that offers product information, part numbers, pricing, helpful messages and hints on choosing the right package for each customer. It also allows resellers to create detailed personalised quotes for their customers.
Businesses are already realising the benefits of multifunction printing devices (MFPs) which combine print, fax, copy and scanning functionality into a single unit. When upgrading a business to MFPs, resellers may offer an additional service to assist with their configuration. Therefore, to help resellers meet this customer demand, Lexmark has launched the Lexmark Installation Packs to support resellers in the selling of MFPs. The customer will receive the MFP and a number to call to arrange for high quality installation of the copy, print, scan and fax capabilities by Lexmark's fleet of trained engineers, who will ensure that the customer gets optimum usage from the MFP, with no hassle for the reseller.

To further demonstrate its commitment to the mid-market Lexmark has embarked upon a major UK advertising campaign to generate end user demand for resellers. The campaign will run until the end of June across reseller titles, IT magazines and national newspapers in the form of inserts and trade adverts.
