Lexmark International, the office printer and printing solutions company, today opens a new central London-based Solutions Headquarters as it aims to meet the rapid growth in demand for office printing solutions in London and particularly in the legal and financial communities.
Lexmark believes most of central London's paper dependent businesses could save hundreds of thousands of pounds a year in office printing costs and time by deploying 'dynamic document' solutions.
Located minutes away from the country's top 30 law firms and the Square Mile's leading banks and financial institutions, the offices will be the nerve centre for Lexmark's response to the rapid growth in demand for sophisticated office printing solutions.
Jane Cronin, Marketing Director of Lexmark Printing Solutions and Services, explained: "We are here to help London businesses deal with another type of congestion charge, associated with printers, faxes and copiers and paper that clogs up businesses and slows down workflow. These significant costs to businesses are widely quoted by industry sources as between 1 and 10% of turnover a year. Our new offices are within two miles of these companies and our mission is to help these companies streamline document management and output processes with intuitive and agile office printing solutions which will increase competitive advantage and significantly reduce these costs. As a result, I expect further growth of 20% in this area of our business during 2003".
She continued: 'We're finding that the majority of our customers are now wanting to know more about what we can do for them beyond simply selling them a printer. Increasingly they are asking us about the return on investment we can achieve on high level solutions and how we can help companies to implement them to save them money. The new Solutions HQ will enable us to demonstrate these solutions at the convenience of our customers, a major boost for us in our push to develop the market.'
