Lexmark International’s UK operation has won a contract to implement Lexmark monochrome printing solutions for Superdrug Stores Plc. The contract was to install Lexmark Optra T laser printers with Optra Forms, in over 300 of the health and beauty specialist’s stores. The roll-out was implemented in partnership with Elcom.Alan Hayward, Store Systems Infrastucture Project Manager, said "Lexmark was the only printer manufacturer that was able to provide a cost effective solution to replace two printers and give us the ability to print shelf-edge labels. We can now print our shelf-edge labels in-house, and the multiple store reports required using just one printer, which reduces our costs and improves the quality of print. The Lexmark T610 with Optra Forms solution was the right choice for Superdrug, and an ongoing roll-out programme is in place for the remainder of our stores."
