Lexmark International, the printer manufacturer, signalled its commitment to the Arts today by announcing a five year partnership with the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
Lexmark has made a five year commitment to support the museum with a significant contribution. The deal will allow both parties to pursue common interests in the art field and builds on the significant involvement that Lexmark currently has in the art world.
The Guggenheim Museum, designed by Frank Gehry, is an architectural landmark and has become a symbol of the Basque country. The work of an architectural genius, the building has been described as "a voyage to the next century". The flagship museum is home to a host of modern and contemporary art making it one of Europe’s top cultural attractions.
Commenting on the partnership, Michel Dermont, Vice President and General Manager Consumer Printer Division said, "We are delighted to be able to offer our support to one of Europe’s leading art centres as part of our ongoing cultural promotion activities. This deal marks the start of several projects which will place Lexmark at the forefront of the European art scene."
