On September 12th 2006, Lexmark introduced Return Programme cartridges to its inkjet business.
Those new cartridges give users new choices for reducing their printing costs, including discounted cartridges. The Return Programme will also help protect the environment because Lexmark will remanufacture or recycle the returned cartridges.
Under this programme:
1. Users can purchase Lexmark Return Programme cartridges at prices that reflect an up-front discount compared to alternative equivalent cartridges in exchange for agreeing to return the used cartridges only to Lexmark for remanufacturing or recycling purposes.
2. Alternative cartridges (same cartridge number finishing with an A) will be available for consumers who prefer to recycle the cartridges themselves.
3. High-volume users can also elect to purchase high yield cartridges, which provides the opportunity to achieve lower per-page costs.
A return postage pre-paid bag is included in the box enabling the user to return their cartridges easily by post and at no additional cost.
